Re: [IBWiFi] nanostation

Where are you located?
When are you coming to the southwest?

Regarding the border and problems.
We have been camping within 3-5 miles of the border just west of the
Arizona/California border in the wintertime for about ten years. My spouses
favorite pass time was watching the border patrol with binoculars, roundup
illegals every morning. We have had them come down a wash behind a group of
Escapee Boondockers and nobody except my spouse saw them parade by each
carrying a gallon bottle of water in each hand. Due to increased
surveillance in the past couple of years the traffic has been reduced.
The area around the Organ Pipe is very isolated and spacious. I am sure
that there are illegals and drug activities there but, lets face it, they
want to avoid detection and for the most part are not trying to make contact
with anyone.
Safety in numbers is an oxymoron. No such thing. When you have a bunch of
people around, they all THINK that they are really safe but, nothing could
be further from the truth as NONE of THEM is prepared for an EVENT.

Safety is a personal, policy and procedure situation. You, are responsible
for your self and your family. One should be familiar with situational
awareness and adequate preparation and preparedness. The Feds have recently
passed a law allowing the carrying of concealed firearms on National Park,
National Monument grounds and as always, in National Forests. So, no longer
is there a need for you to be defenseless.
To avoid being a victim, one should prepared for any eventuallity and not
just illegals, druggies and perps. There are a lot of other things,
everywhere in this country that can cause one to suffer if one is not
prepared.
Being prepared and being paranoid is the best course of action.

The Casino here in Somerton charges $5 for three days of dry camping. The
local desert costs nothing.
And the desert is much nicer and prettier.
