I understand totally!
I did join the other group which is related to cellular.
A lot of folks call a lot of things by the wrong name, and probably most folks do not
pronounce WiFi correctly <smile>, but Verizon, for example, calls what they
give/provide you so that everyone around can receive the internet through this piece
of technology, WiFi, but in reality it is MyFi. Go figure. It is wireless from MyFi
which can be in my shirt pocket or hanging in the RV. All I know about WiFi is that
if I'm at a place that has it, I can connect to the internet. For example, the RV park my
friends own in Calif and where we stay when we are back there has their internet
connection through Hughesnet. Then from there it is picked up by folks who stay
there wirelessly as well. They call it WiFi. For all I know it could be SciFi and it isn't
very darned good, either. But I'm sure that's because Hughesnet is slow. However,
being out in the boonies, it does beat dial-up but it does not beat Verizon.....
it's called WiFi or SciFi or HiFi <smile>.
Many thanks,
Jim in the Deserts of New Mexico
