[IBWiFi] Re: Hawking HWDN2

Verizon coverage in Alaska is great!

Verizon coverage in Canada can be added for $20 for a month and then removed on your national plan.

WIFI is a different story - We boondoggle thru much of Canada once you get above Prince George (Cassiar) or Dawson Creek (AK Hwy). Very few Campgrounds or motels had WiFi 2 years ago. Use you Verizon plan and add Canada by the month and you'll have the best option. Even GSM (ATT) roaming is pretty poor in Northwest Canada once north of these cities.

Never found "N" anywhere on our last trip, all "G"

I carry a $40 motorola GSM cell as back up using one of the many international SIM services to add extra security. MaxRoam works and the funds do not expire. There are many other choices as well.
