Re: [IBWiFi] a question about multiple wifi's

I downloaded the inSSIDer, and love it. The wifi in our area are two and they are on channel
6 and 11. I have ours set on 1. Previously it was on auto. I'll watch this for a few days to see if the others stay put or move around. This didn't fix the Apple Tiger issue though
so that might require a new airport card.
thanks,

Hi Michelle,

Yes it is possible to change to a different channel on the wifi router. I have mine set to channel 1. It is best to hop at least two channels (i.e. 1, 3, 5 etc.)

      Hi Don,

Thanks, to follow up on that our Apple Tiger works intermittently. We thought

the airport card may be going bad. Could it be a channel issue that we might

fix by changing the channel? We have a PHS300.

thanks,
