[IBWiFi] Re: campus signal

I have installed yagi antenna's 1 mile apart and they worked and I know of others that have installed parabolic high gain antennas 10 miles apart on high locations. These were antennas specifically made for 2.4 Ghz WiFi.
Two important points: 1) Line of site is imperative and 2) A parabolic or yagi high gain antenna will be needed on campus pointing toward your son's location.

I know very little about this but have been reading some. Is it realistic to expect to receive his signal with a dish network dish with some USB device at the focal point? If not, would a ten ft big C-band dish do it? Has anybody tried a ten ft. dish?
