The important things to look for are units that are waterproof and can be mounted on a mast.
Increasing signal strength comes with height and being outside the envelop of the RV.

This thread has been interesting to me since I also want greater range for WiFi. We use a Verizon phone tethered to a PC but there are many spots where I would like to use WiFi. I don't want to purchase a router - just use a USB card. Any suggestions for this setup?
