Re: [IBWiFi] What does 5GB get me?

I had Hughes when you started with a 4000 modem and a dish attached to a 3x3
plywood board.
Gave it up a year ago but still keep all of the equipment in the event of a
nationwide crisis.
I got my Verizon data card off of Ebay and have no contract and go month to
month on it.
I have never exceeded my 5GB and I feel that I do a lot more work on the web
due to the better dependability and overall speed up/dn.
I ended up going with Alltel last spring due to poor Verizon service in the
area where I was for the summer.
Due to not being on contract, it was easy to do and handy if you move into
an area with no Verizon/Alltel data, you can go to someone else.
$25 activation charge plus monthly charges. It is nice to have flexibility.
Now that Verizon bought most of Alltel it makes no difference which card I
use.
Haven't had to move to any other carrier yet.
The data cards are a lot less hassle as long as you can reach a tower.
No tower, back to sat dish.
Regards,
